Hollaback Bmore!, GLCCB, and The Den are Throwing an ANTI-HATE PROM

Baltimore, MD. On May 21st, the ultra-femme, genderqueer, and more!, of Baltimore will celebrate International Day Against Homophobia with an Anti-Hate Prom at The Windup Space, 12 W. North Avenue, in Station North Arts District, at 9pm.

Attendees are encouraged to wear what they would have worn to prom, if there was no hate, no judgment, or fear. Gay or straight, male or female, and anywhere above and beyond, at Anti-Hate Prom, all are free. According to the IDAH website, “International Day Against Homophobia belongs to no one individual. It’s about all people hoping for a prejudice-free world that can provide a place at the table for everyone regardless of their sexual orientation.” Guests can expect a DJ, dancing, and a photographer for those awkward prom photos. The recently crowned Queen of this year’s Baltimore PRIDE Fest has been confirmed to appoint the King and Queen of the Anti-Hate Prom.

The suggested cover charge of $5 (with prom attire, $7 without) as well as proceeds from event-themed drinks behind the bar will go towards the co-sponsors of the event: Hollaback Bmore!, the GLCCB and The Den. All are local organizations that aim to improve the lives of the LGBTQ community.
