Holding Hyatt Accountable: The Community Gathers Against Human Rights Violations

Hyatt Regency Baltimore workers and their allies called a press conference on November 13th, 2012, to announce the ongoing federal prosecution of Hyatt for violating the rights of its workers to organize. The press conference featured Unite Here Local 7 President Roxie Herbekian, former Hyatt Regency Baltimore worker Mike Jones, Hyatt Regency Baltimore on-call banquet server Regina Davis, Catholic labor priest Fr. Ty Hullinger, NAACP Baltimore Chapter President Tessa Aston-Hill, and AFL-CIO Metropolitan Baltimore President Ernie Grecco. This 35 minute video  includes interviews with Catholic labor priest Fr. Patrick Besel, Hyatt Regency Baltimore houseman Luke Walsh Mellet, and Unite Here Local 7 organizer Mishy Leiblum.

Richard Concepcion is an independent documentary filmmaker/video journalist. He finished his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University (1983), Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Film and Electronic Media from American University School of Communication (2010), Master of LIberal Arts (MLA) degree from Johns Hopkins University (2004) and MA in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville (1987).
