Workshop Description:

Mac Scott - No One Is Illegal, Ontario Coalition Against Poverty.
As an anarchist community organizer, I will cover various issues that have come up in my work in community organizing - from an anarchist perspective - particularly: a. casework/material gains work vs legislative/policy work b. coalition building/alliance work

Danielle Redden - Philadelphia, SEPA FSP
My recent organizing experience was very much rooted in saul alinsky models -- winnable, base building issues that is tied to a broader vision of gains in electoral politics. i have done workshops before on trying to incorporate what I had learned from my organizing experiences from global justice times into that model -- how do you reconcile an organizing approach that prioritizes winning, winnable and base building issues with one that prioritizes long-term transformation with a goal of revolution? is it possible?
