On Saturday, December 1, 2012, the United Workers celebrated their 10-year anniversary. The United Workers is a Baltimore-based human rights organization that is "led by the poor to end poverty". It's been nearly one year since The United Workers (UW) and their allies gathered at the corner of Charles & Lombard Streets to begin their "Haunted Harbor" action march. The march took place on Sunday morning, October 30, 2011.
